Holiday Stress Busting Tips
In any an all stressful situations before you take another step or say another word:

STOP!
BREATHE
RESET
ACT... Be Positive and Grateful and know your desired outcome is yours!

By stop we are referring to a moment/second in time. I can promise you the woman that you are arguing with over that clearance bin item with will not pause for you...so it might be who of you to practice this little exercise a couple of times a day for the next week or so and it will become second nature.

By Breathe we are referring to those cleansing breaths that we are always talking about on DrTranquility.com. In stressful situations an automatic tendency for most people is to hold our breathe. So exhale inhale calm,
exhale stress, inhale,peaceful,calm control. Do this breath cycle 3 times, reset that's what 6 seconds. This is easy for you!

Now reset. When we say reset proceed to deal with your previously extremely stressful situation from your place of peaceful,calm control. As you are now coming from a different place your ability to direct the situation in a way that the outcome is one you are comfortable accepting..you can live with it,with out anger,rage,sadness, or regret!

Act. Taken action from this place enable you to have a situation you can live with because when we are coming from peaceful,calm control we are able to think! Thinking clearly enable us to steer this situation to our desired out come.Approach the situation with confidence believe you will resolve this in the most positive and beneficial way!

Lastly enjoy your stress free holiday and your new life tool through out the new year!

Travelling with Kids By Linda Whittaker

So, it’s holiday time again and you are thinking of going away to spend time with your family and friends. I have travelled across the globe with two young children, so I would like to share a few of my tips with you. Whether you are flying or driving to your next destination, you may like to use a few of these tips to make your journey a fun, relaxed and enjoyable journey. Have a safe trip and most importantly... Take time to laugh and have fun with your wonderful children!

1. The Road Trip:
- Have healthy snacks ready at hand, to pass over to the back seat. If you have several children, distribute a variety of healthy snack foods into zip lock bags, so each child has their own snack bag of goodies.
- Mini bags of Carrots or Apples are always great for trips, as they are already prepared, ready to go. You can pop those into a small cooler bag, with frozen bottles of water. Try and pick healthy snacks that are low in sugar, so your kids will be calmer on the road trip.
- Pack Water Bottles, with a non spill lid, to avoid the dreaded spillage in your car.

Games to play
> "Spot the black car, Nissan, Stop Sign etc"
> "I spy with my little eye, something beginning with..."
> Have a music CD in the car that you can all sing along to. The library is a good source.
> Pack a Frisbee in the trunk so you can have a quick run around with the kids at your next stop.

> Before you get back into the car, play musical chairs so that each person moves to a new seat.
